This is a beautiful vintage Original by Miss America New York 1940's evening dress or alternative wedding gown.  

This vintage dress has a full sweep skirt and lovely draping. The shoulders are cinched at the top and the collar is tacked to the top of the shoulders. The center of the dress has a pleated half moon with a double bow in the center. The pleats connect well with the top of the shoulders which are also cinched. This creates a really flattering bust detail.

The back of the dress has darts along the waist. There is a metal zipper down the left side under the arm and along the waist. The skirt of the dress is the same rayon material with a sheer ivory silk top layer. The silk is pleated at the top of the seam, which drapes really beautifully.

CONDITION: In very good condition.

There is a small hole on the back as shown and slight separation of the back darts at the seams.There are some very small spots on the back of the dress and small scattered spots on the top layer of the silk skirt-- very faint and not very noticeable.
